1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They help a site work, and they can show the owner how it is used. Some last only for your visit, while others stay for a set period. Similar tools, such as local storage, work in much the same way.
2. The cookies we use
We keep cookies to a minimum. The site itself needs none to show pages or to send the enquiry form. The only cookies come from Google Analytics 4, because it is the one tool we use to count visits. We do not run adverts, and we do not use cookies to follow you around other sites.
3. Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 sets cookies that tell us how many people visit and which pages they read. The data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify you. The script loads after the page has finished loading or after you first interact with the page, and we have switched off ad personalisation signals.
4. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers explain how in their help pages. If you block analytics cookies, the site still works as normal, so you lose nothing by doing so. Some browsers also block analytics scripts by default, while others offer a setting. Private windows usually delete cookies when you close them, which is another simple option.
