1. About these terms
This website at www.woodwormtreatmenthq.com is operated by WoodwormTreatmentHQ (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as WoodwormTreatmentHQ. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. If you have any questions, email us at customerservice@woodwormtreatmenthq.com.
2. Use of this website
You may use this website for your own lawful, personal and business purposes. You agree not to:
- use the site in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected systems;
- introduce viruses or other malicious code, or place excessive load on the site;
- copy, scrape or republish our content except as set out below.
We may suspend or withdraw the website, or restrict your access, at any time without notice if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.
3. General advice is not a substitute for a survey
The guides, species information, cost ranges and other content on this website are provided for general information only. Woodworm identification and timber treatment depend on the specific property, the species involved and the extent of any infestation. While we take care to keep our content accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that it is complete, current or free from error, and you should not rely on it as professional advice for your particular situation.
Any prices shown — for example garage, roof-space, flooring or whole-house figures — are illustrative market ranges, not quotations. Always obtain a survey by a qualified surveyor before making decisions about your timber.
4. Quotes are subject to survey
Submitting our enquiry form is a request for us to contact you; it does not create a contract. Any quote we provide is subject to a physical survey of the property and confirmation that the infestation is active and treatable. The final scope, method and price are set out in the written quote you receive after that survey. Our 30-year guarantee and treatment certificate apply only to work we actually carry out, on the terms stated in your written quote and contract documents.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, guides, graphics, logos, icons and the WoodwormTreatmentHQ name and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, distribute or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
6. Links to other websites
We sometimes link to external organisations such as the Property Care Association, RICS, the Health and Safety Executive and GOV.UK guidance. These links are provided for convenience and further reading. We have no control over the content of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss arising from your use of them.
7. Our liability
We provide this website on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website, or from reliance on any content on it. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms at any time by updating this page. The version published here is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. By continuing to use the website you accept any revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of this website, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
